If you have ever seen the US version of the show “The Biggest Loser” you would probably have heard of Kim Lyons. Kim is a personal trainer and life coach, and has just released a new book “Your Body, Your Life.”
What is described as “The 12 week program to optimum physical, mental and emotional fitness”, this is not just a diet book; it is a whole lifestyle change.
I don’t believe in fad diets, they can do more harm than good, and don’t recommend health related books easily, but I am impressed with this one. It’s all about sticking to your goals and even if you aren’t overweight, these tips will help you feel more energetic and you will get more out of each day.
The book comes with a variety of different sections, and the exercises are clear with different levels – beginner, medium, advanced as well as a combination of stretching techniques. You will learn the correct ways to exercise as well as how to prevent injuries from occurring.
“But as Kim always says, working out is only half the battle against the bulge; the rest of the fight goes down in the kitchen!”

Find out the food basics, and once you have got that clear you can read on to find out more detailed information about what you should be eating. Kim has added some of her recipes, each containing less than 4 grams of saturated fat per serve. Recipes include –
* Grilled Lemon Chicken and Veggie Salad
* Chewy Oatmeal Cookies and
* Magic Muffins
If you feel like you are lacking balance in your life, and are ready to make changes, this book is a good start. You will need to record your progress in a journal so you can check your results. It starts for 12 weeks, but really it is something that you will stick to long term.
A whole body change, starting from the inside out… I would recommend this book to readers.
